The Estate
History
Located in the North West of Chablis in Lignorelles, the Estate Beaufumé is a family winery that has been existing for many generations. We are owners - wine growers and we produce two appellations: CHABLIS and PETIT CHABLIS. The vineyard stretches over 18 hectares between Lignorelles and Villy, on a clay-limestone soil. The average age of the vines is 35 years and some of them are more than 80 years old.
Environmental commitment
The Estate Beaufumé has always been cultivating its vines according to a responsible farming. Working the soil (ploughing) is essential to respect and protect our specific terroir that gives us the finesse and minerality of our CHABLIS.
Since May 2021 the Estate has been certified HVE3 (High Environmental Value Level 3).
Level 3 (highest level of the national HVE certification) attests to the Estate commitments for a agro-ecological vineyard cultivation. Our environmental performances are based on the biodiversity respect and the inputs restriction.
